Aston Martin has lifted the lid on its new top-of-the-line model: the 183mph, carbon-fibre Vanquish, to go on sale late this year.
The iconic British car maker will launch the new Vanquish, named after the wonderful 2001 Aston Martin model, as the top of its new range of supercars- creating a more attainable top dog than the impossibly rare One-77. That is, of course, if you consider the £189,995 asking price to be “attainable”.
The new Vanquish will be fitted with all carbon-fibre panels bolted to the latest version of the current Aston chassis and an upgraded 6.0-litre V12 engine. Producing 565bhp and 457lb ft of torque, it means the Vanquish will go from 0-62 in 4.1 seconds (thanks to a weight of 1739kg) and on to 183mph if you keep your foot on the noise pedal.
The car will be available as a 2-seater or as a 2+2 grand tourer. If you’re interested in the full stats and options list, you can find all the data here- as well as a few more lovely pictures.
As for looks- well, it’s an Aston Martin, so everyone will love it. It’s perhaps not the best looking model they’ve ever produced, but as far as desirability goes they’ve got it in the bag. Thoughts? Leave a comment!

its nice but i’m not totally won over. Maybe the badge will sell it. I’d prefer the previous one or the DB9. its just those headlights – looks like another cut and paste job they have done with the Virage and this. they had a perfect chance to experiment and mould a new design but i’m not too convince they can rekindle that magic they did with the DB9. compared to this, the DB9 is one for the history books – there is not one that quite looks as good as her.
