Audi‘s newest RS6 will feature a whopping 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 with 572bhp- outdoing rival BMW‘s M5.
The engine is an uprated version of the V8 in the S6, S7 and S8- and replaces the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V10 in the old RS6. Alongside the 572bhp power output the engine could produce up to 516lb ft of torque.
For reference, that’s 20bhp more than the M3′s 552bhp of the M5 and 23bhp more than the 549bhp in the Merc E63 AMG.
Of course, it will be four-wheel-drive, but there’s also a weight saving over the predecessor- up to 100kg. That means a limited top speed of 155mph (of course) and potential for a sub-4.5 second 0-60 time.
